From the lab - testing Coronet LEDs with our new lab instrument
Really enjoying trying out our new precision lab spectrograph and radiometer.
It allows us to measure wavelength and optical intensity with greater precision than before.
Here is the test result of the high power 670 nm LED fitted to the Coronet (just one out of 40) and the CoroNase.
It shows that the spectrum is narrow and centred on 671.7 nm.
The light output is just under 112,000 lux at 100% duty cycle and 10,400 foot-candles.
This would give 67,200 Lux at the 60% duty cycle of the Coronet and CoroNase.
The light intensity is measured at 362 mW/cm2
Remember, this is just 1/40th of the light output of the Coronet.
Next time we'll look at testing the 810 nm LEDs.
