Alzheimer's disease treatments

I’ve written before about the billions of dollars spent by governments and pharmaceutical companies in pursuit of a drug to get rid of amyloid deposits in the brains of people with Alzheimer’s disease.

The drugs that were developed did indeed remove amyloid, but that didn’t make a scrap of difference to Alzheimer’s symptoms. It was like the brain had had a nice vacuum clean! Sure, the amyloid proteins were sucked up and taken away, but whatever had created and perpetuated Alzheimer’s symptoms was completely untouched.

So what treatments have been shown to help in Alzheimer’s?

Red and near infrared lights (photobiomoduation) is obviously one form of treatment that can make a difference.

Another is exercise. Real exercise. Exercise that makes the lungs puff and the face glow. It also helps in sleep.
