If the Coronet bites!

If, when you use your Coronet, it feels like an insect is biting your head, it is probably because you have an individual LED light too close to your head.

The LED lights need to be a little away from your head so that your whole head gets good light coverage.

To fix the biting problem,:

  1. take note of which part of the Coronet seems to be biting.

  2. unplug your Coronet. '

  3. find the area on your Coronet closest to the biting spot.

  4. loosen the wing nuts and bolts of the whole Coronet.

  5. have a look at the photo below and arrange your thumbs in a similar way on either side of the biting spot. I’ve marked my right and left hands.

  6. mentally prepare your hands to be gentle as you handle your Coronet. You only need to make a very small change and this must be done slowly and carefully.

  7. put your left thumb beside the LED light so that your left thumb is in between the LED light in question and the centre of the Coronet,

  8. your left thumb and hand will keep this part of the Coronet nice and still.

  9. put your right thumb next to the LED light but on the outside.

  10. while your left hand holds the Coronet still, gently ease down your right thumb. You will feel it move ever so slightly outwards. It doesn’t need to be much easing - a couple of millimetres will be fine.

  11. always be very gentle.

  12. never put any pressure on the LED lightbulb, only on the areas on either side of the LED..

  13. Once you have made a small change, put your Coronet away. When you are due for your next Coronet session, assess how well you have done. It may be that you need to do a little more easing out, in which case, repeat the instructions above and always be very gentle.
