Heat

If, when wearing your Duo Coronet, you are feeling heat on your head then a fitting adjustment is needed.

Some people think that the lights need to be right on the head - they don’t. In fact, head coverage is lost if they are too close to the scalp.

If you have heat on your head, then here’s what to do:

  1. Loosen the wing nuts and bolts around the Duo.

  2. With the Duo on a firm surface, put your left and right thumbs on either side of the LED light closest to a hot spot. Have a look at the photo to see what I mean.

  3. Gently - VERY gently - ease out the frame in between the offending LED lights. It only needs to be a very small amount to make a difference.

  4. Repeat around other LEDS that seem to be too close to your scalp.

  5. Set the wing nuts and bolts so that the circumference of your Duo is bigger than your original fitting. You want all the lights to be sitting away from your head. Having the Duo a little looser will help.

  6. Carefully tighten the bolts until they hold. Don’t over-tighten them.

  7. Run the Duo and see how the session goes. If it is still warm in one or more areas, repeat the above steps.
